7. My aliases are no longer working

We apologise for the inconvenience, but the alias options are not available at the moment.
We are hoping to have it all sorted out by the end of March.

Please read the instructions below regarding the new aliases.

Aliases on the same domain name i.e. test@webmail is main email address and testing1@webmail is alias.

  • You will no longer be able to select the alias from which you will send the email and attach the relevant signature that goes with that alias.

  • You will, however be able to receive emails for both email address in the same mailbox

  • Should you wish to maintain the alias as a send address, you will need to do the following:
    - Delete the alias
    - Create another account using this email address
    - You will need to login to each email account independantly of each other to access your new emails

If one of your aliases is set as the default to send email, it will become your main account / mailbox name, and your previous account / mailbox name will become an alias

8. What is the maximum size limit allowed in my easyinfoMail account?

If you are free email subscriber, the maximum size limit is 10megs but you cannot send or receive anything that exceeds the capacity of 2 MB.

Please always remember to delete the emails within your deleted folder to ensure that you stay within the limit.  These emails are not automatically deleted.

If you are one of our ISP users, you get 20megs of space.  Should you wish to become one of our ISP users, click here for more details

9. Its says my quota is exceeded / mailbox full, but there are no messages in my inbox?

While your inbox may be empty, the mailbox size limit is a combined size of all your folders.  Please click on "Folders" which can be found at the top of your inbox.  Click on any of the relevant folders within that page and delete the unnecessary email from within the individual folders.

10. How do I delete an email?

In order to delete an email you need to tick on the check box situated in the far left hand column next to each email.
Once the box has been clicked on, you press the delete button situated at the bottom of the page.

11. How do I edit someone in my address book?

Unfortunately the new system does not allow for you to edit your address book, you will need to delete the incorrect listing and ad it again in order to
get it to work.

Our apologies, we are busy working on refining the new system and hope you will continue to use us as your free email solution.

12. How do I edit my Personal Information?

Unfortunately you are not able to edit this information at the moment.  We are currently working on this problem, apologies for the inconvenience.

13. I was halfway through writing an email and was prompted back to the login and had to start again.

This usually occurs when your session has timed out.  There is a limit of 30 minutes per session.

14. When I logged into my account, I went to someone else's inbox

The reason for this, is because the person who logged on before you, did not LOGOUT when they were finished, and when you log in with a
different username and password, it will go to the previous persons account.

You need to Logout first and then log back in with your username and password, and it will go to your account.

Should you have any further queries, please do not hesitate to drop us another mail.

15. I cannot send or receive email

This is due to the fact that your mailbox is full.  We have a limit of 10megs per mailbox.

Please delete  any messages that you no longer need, or alternatively save them to your computer.
When you delete your mail, make sure you also delete the emails in your trash folder.

Step3) In the dialog box click on the button 'Delete files' under
the 'Temporary Intenet Files' section. Another dialog box called
'Delete files' will appear, in this dialog box click on the 'OK'
button. This procedure should take a few seconds to complete.

Step4) Close this dialog box by clicking on the 'Ok' button. Voilà!

This procedure only deletes temporary files, and documents or settings will be deleted.

22. Why has my easyinfoMail account been cancelled?

Your easyinfoMail account could have been cancelled due to one of 2 situations:  Lack of use, or abuse of the email account.

Your easyinfoMail account will automatically be inactivated if you do not access it for 3 months, and will require you
to reregister before using the service again. If this is not done within 6 months it will be deleted.

easyinfoMail reserves the right to offer this service to various users. We have certain policies and when we believe that any form of misuse including such activities as mass mailings take place then accounts may be cancelled and it would appear that such has taken place with your account.

Should you use your email for such purposes we advise that other services have softer policies than us and would possibly not cancel such an account.

We apologize should there have been an error and further thank you for using easyinfoMail.

23. Fetchmail does not seem to be working currently?

Fetchmail does work from our server. You just need to enter in your Pop 3 server, login and password to your other email account.

24. Why do I get so much spam in my easyinfomail.co.za account?

We are aware of the problem and have currently been working overtime to try and eradicate this type of misuse
of our system.

As you may well imagine, the people sending these emails are relentless in their efforts and it is therefore quite a large and ongoing task.
we successfully eradicated +/- 30 domains per week from where these emails were coming and will obviously continue doing so as we find out
where they are coming from.

Unfortunately it isn’t as easy as deleting the email address as many of these are set up as fake email addresses so on investigation they do not
actually exist and are not our registered users.

We have, in fact even contacted the Internet Police to try and help us with our efforts, however too no avail.

Could you please forward the email that was sent to you to abuse@easyinfomail.co.za so we can try and trace the source from the email.

25. How do I set up easyinfoMail as my smtp server?

We are sorry but this service is reserved for our easyinfoMail ISP Subscribers

The only way is to use your ISP (mweb, netactive etc.) smtp server.

If you do not know the name of this server please contact them and get the settings from them.

26. I received a Syntax error when trying to send an email, what is this from?

This usually occurs when you enter something incorrectly into the cc or bcc fields.

27. What happened to the Webshares?

We are pleased to inform you that the shares have been fully subscribed We look forward to realizing the value in the business at the point of sale
or listing of such shares. At such a time we shall refer and notify you as to what you may expect relative to our terms and conditions.

We appreciate your support of easyinfoMail and trust that the results of the share scheme shall be mutually beneficial to stakeholders.

28. What is the validation code used for on registration?

This is to ensure that spammers cannot use the technology available to them to automatically register easyinfoMail accounts with us.  It ensures that a person is physically sitting in front of the computer screen and filling in the registration form, which makes it more difficult for people to use easyinfoMail for the wrong reasons.

29. Does easyinfoMail Host Personal or Business Websites?

If someone does wish to send an offer to you , we check that it matches your interests, planned purchases profile, and also make sure that they are offering you a really special deal, (preferably exclusive to easyinfoMail).

Also, if you ever forget your password, you will need to confirm your personal information with one of our support staff to get access to your easyinfoMail account again.

Your individual personal data is never disclosed to advertisers.
